The initial meeting of the Kankakee Valley Genealogical & Historical Society took place at the Kankakee Public Library on January 16, 1968. A constitution and bylaws were adopted that evening and plans made for a membership drive.

Membership Information

Membership Dues are for one calendar year, January 1 - December 31. Dues are $15.00 per calendar year for individual or family memberships. Checks should be made payable to Kankakee Valley Genealogical Society. Membership includes the following:
  • Quarterly Publication "Thea-Ki-Ki"
  • Free Queries in Quarterly
  • Surname Charts Published in Quarterly
  • Single Ancestor Search of KVGS Publications
